As the Studio Leader for the College and University national practice at RDG Planning and Design, I guide and inspire a team of over 30 professionals. I work closely with market leaders both within and outside the Studio to develop and execute strategies and marketing initiatives across four key areas: Health Science Education, Science + Technology, Campus Planning, and Site Design. My responsibilities include managing revenue and profit, organizing and recruiting team members, evaluating performance, and overseeing our annual marketing strategy. Beyond leading the studio, I also serve as a cross-market expert and collaborator, contributing to our healthcare, wellness, and learning studios.

My expertise spans campus and facility planning, experience design, high-fidelity simulation, and future technologies, driving performance through immersive solutions. I am adept in project management, capital planning, master planning, creative leadership, and strategic thought, guiding teams and clients from initial exploration through to execution. With a robust portfolio in health science environments, including public, academic, research, and clinical settings, I lead planning and design teams, consultants, contractors, construction managers, and clients to deliver complex projects of various scales.

HEALTH SCIENCE EDUCATION LEADER

Respect what’s been done…think what could be done - is my ethos. The embodiment of this ideology is manifested through my interdisciplinary team(s) - and as the driver, it is my role to ensure a culture that celebrates iteration and embraces failure while also expecting design excellence and demanding imagination. This starts through concept - sparking curiosity, generating excitement and propelling design thinking toward seemingly impossible goals, which is exactly what we strive for - to push ourselves and each other beyond what’s been done to what could be.

INNOVATION DRIVER

Talent Map

MPH Talet Map.jpg

To move the needle one must generate force (mass x acceleration) - launching ideas toward a new trajectory. Although innovation may be at the heart of creative thinking - it is not enough. Execution is a must and how one gets there allows for true acceleration. My process is driven through a skill set that allows for innovation to become magic and magic to become reality.

The sharpening of my process through exploratory projects and constant prototyping creates richness in results. Fearlessness contributes to the ability to work without direction - translating ambiguity into a clear manifestation of idea. Compelling physical, digital and emotional storytelling completes the experience - rendering multi-sensory environments for user exploration.
